Environmental Information Portal for Maritime Industries is an electronic library providing the user access to general information on current environmental issues relevant to seaborne transportation and associated activities. The Portal is developed jointly by the Norwegian Maritime Directorate and Det Norske Veritas.

The purpose of this portal is that it will inspire the development and implementation of environmentally friendly solutions within the maritime industry.

The Portal contains information which we find important and useful. The aim is to update and improve the portal as new information becomes available.

The portal include means which may be applied in order to translate generic information to specific scenarios and also access to online services and information provided by national, intergovernmental authorities as well as NGO's and public and private institutions and organizations.

Information is organised in seven categories. Select the information category in the menu to the left and make your specific topic selection in the menus that appear to the right. It is also possible to enter some of the information by clicking on the illustration below.
