ISO 15926 is an interoperability standard for data integration, sharing, and exchange
between computer systems, intended primarily for the process industry. The WIP is
the ISO 15926 Reference Data Library, which contains Classes and Object Information
Models. As the name implies, the WIP is continually being extended by the user community
with proposed classes and model extensions. These extensions are then available
for immediate use, and will ultimately be incorporated into the standard if approved.
Extensions that are not approved will still remain active in the WIP for reliable business use.
Anyone may browse the WIP database, but contributing first requires
registration and certification.
